Hey there!
A game that uses the rear touchpad of the Vita? Haven’t seen that in a while.
What is the game all about?
You are Sir Eatsalot and it’s your task to save Gluttington from the witch Hysterica. The witch has poisoned the Isotonic Waters with sour lemonade and the kingdom is about to be destroyed. So, you jump, fight and eat your way through this 2D adventure.
The game has a funny story and very nice hand-drawn graphics. As it is exclusively made for PS Vita, it uses all of its features (touchscreen, camera, rear touchpad…). Unfortunately, it doesn’t work that well. Whenever you must use the rear touchpad, you and up hammering your fingers on it until it works. In the sections where you need the camera, you must recalibrate it all the time to make it work.
Sir Eatsalot could have been a good game, if there weren’t the issues with the camera and the rear touchpad. Here you can clearly see why nearly none of the games make use of these features.
What about trophies?
The game has a lot of story-related and other unmissable trophies. Alas, there are also collectibles and trophies related to side quests, which can easily be missed. To ensure that you get all trophies in one run, use this walkthrough from playstationtrophies.org.
Where can I get this game?
Sir Eatsalot can be found in the EU, NA and HK store. The EU and NA store share the same version, whereas the HK store has its own version with its own trophy stack.
The Asian version, the one from the HK store, has also received a limited physical release at play-asia.com.
If you need PSN cards, you can buy them at play-asia.comor at scdkey.com. There you get digital codes, which will be send to you via e-mail within minutes.
As a trophy hunter, should I get this game?
It’s an easy but very annoying game. Nevertheless, it can be done within a few hours and thus, it’s recommended for every trophy hunter.
